Braintree police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals on a scooter connected to an incident where shots were fired.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, Braintree police received a report of gunshots near Shaw and Nelson Streets.
The two individuals were traveling at a high speed on a scooter when the passenger fired three shots at a 45-degree angle in the air, according to surveillance footage obtained by police. Police found three 9-millimeter shell casings on the ground at the scene.
Incident occurs at 50-second mark.
After the shots were fired, the individuals then drove into Quincy and crossed the Fore River Bridge toward Weymouth, police say.
Prior to the incident, the individuals had gathered with another scooter driver in front of a business on Commercial Street in Weymouth, according to police, but only the scooter with the two occupants then traveled to the Shaw Street area.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the suspects is asked to contact Braintree police at 781-794-8620.
