It was an emotional scene both inside and outside Norfolk Superior Court on Wednesday, as a jury declared Karen Read “not guilty” of second-degree murder in the January 2022 death of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe.
She was sentenced to one year of probation for a first-time OUI offense, but acquitted of the other charges.
