Two victims of a May 24 shooting in Dorchester have since been pronounced dead, according to Boston police.
Walter Wilkens, 36, of Quincy, died the night of the shooting, police said in a statement. Anthony McIntosh, 66, of Dorchester, died later, the department said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers responded to 38 Franklin Hill Ave. for a ShotSpotter activation, according to police. Officers found Wilkens and McIntosh suffering from gunshot wounds, and they were transported to local hospitals, the department said.
The Boston Police Department’s homicide unit is actively investigating the shooting, and anyone with information is asked to call 617-343-4470. Community members can also provide anonymous tips through the CrimeStoppers tip line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS or texting “TIP” to CRIME (27463).
