"A child who lived at the home was physically uninjured and is safe at this time."

Police responding to a 911 call early Sunday morning in Plaistow, New Hampshire, found a 39-year-old woman dead in an Old County Road home.

Margaret Jasmin was found on the ground with an apparent stab wound, according to the state Department of Justice. While searching the house, officers encountered her spouse, 36-year-old Reya Jasmin, who “was only partially responsive and appeared to be suffering from several injuries,” authorities said. Reya Jasmin was taken to a hospital.

“A child who lived at the home was physically uninjured and is safe at this time,” officials said.

On Sunday night, authorities charged Reya Jasmin, who remained hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, with second-degree murder. An arraignment was anticipated at a later date.
