Boston police are looking for a man who reportedly assaulted a driver and smashed their car’s windows with a hatchet in a road rage incident Friday.

The incident happened just before midnight near 1032 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton, police said in a statement.

Police released a photo of the suspect, who was described as a white male, about 25 years old, with a “slight build, brown medium-length hair, and a short beard.” The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt with a plain front and lettering on the back, blue jeans, and brown sneakers, according to police.

The suspect allegedly caused the victim to crash after chasing them at high speeds in his gray pickup truck, which police also released a picture of. The man then exited the truck with a hatchet, assaulted the victim, and “vandalized the victim’s vehicle after they fled, breaking the windows and windshield,” police said.
