Man, 55, identified as homicide victim in affluent North Shore suburb

Lynnfield police found Timothy O’Neil with apparent trauma Friday; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lynnfield police are investigating an apparent homicide Sunday after finding a body, officials said.

Police responded to a 911 call Friday, May 9, at 8:30 p.m. from Lookout Terrace to find Timothy O’Neil, 55, of Lynnfield, with apparent trauma, according to a statement from the Essex District Attorney’s office.

O’Neil was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation. The district attorney’s office said in its statement that it did not believe there is a wider threat to the public at this time.
