One person killed, another injured in Roxbury shooting, police say

Just after 11 p.m., officers responded to 2343 Washington St. in Roxbury for a report of a person shot, the Boston Police Department said.

One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Roxbury, according to Boston police.

Just after 11 p.m., officers responded to 2343 Washington St. in Roxbury for a report of a person shot, the Boston Police Department said in a statement.

Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound at the scene, according to the statement. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim admitted themself to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said in the statement.

The department’s homicide unit is actively investigating the shooting, but no arrests have been confirmed.
