Boston man, 82, arrested in nail clipper assault

An 82-year-old man was arrested Monday after allegedly attacking someone with a pair of nail clippers, police said.

Williams Mells, of Boston, was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, according to a statement from the Boston Police Department.

Boston police responded to a person stabbed at 444 Harrison Ave. in the evening of April 7, according to the statement. Officers were advised that someone stabbed the person with nail clippers and fled the scene.

Officers located Mells just outside the location and immediately placed him into handcuffs, according to the statement. Mells will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court at a later date.
