A person was stabbed outside of a courthouse Monday afternoon in Medford during a fight involving five men, police said.
Medford police responded to the courthouse on Mystic Valley Parkway, which houses Cambridge District Court, around noon Monday, State Police said.
Five men allegedly involved in an altercation, which involved a knife, were detained, police said. One person suffered a “serious, non-life threatening stab wound,” officials said.
The scene prompted a large response from troopers, their K-9 unit, the Air Wing, and the Middlesex County Detectives Unit, Crime Scene Services Section, and more trooper detectives. Medford fire and medical emergency services also responded.
The incident is still under investigation, State Police said.
