French bulldog reunited with Dorchester family, search for alleged thieves ongoing, police say

The dog, who was allegedly stolen by two individuals on a scooter last week, was found by detectives and brought home.

A French bulldog who was allegedly stolen in Dorchester last week by two individuals on a scooter has been located by police and returned to its owners. 

The theft happened around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Ceylon Street. The French bulldog, named Bodega, had wandered off, and was then picked up by “two individuals on a scooter,” police said. They were last seen with the dog Wednesday in the area of Ceylon Street and Quincy Street.

In a statement, Boston Police said detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were the ones to locate the dog, but did not provide further details. No arrests have been made.
