A woman from Beacon Hill took to social media Friday after two men allegedly attacked her in an alleyway going toward West Cedar Street.

Brenna Martinez posted a video to TikTok describing her walk from JP Licks on Charles Street back to her Beacon Hill home Friday night. She said she walked through a commonly used alleyway and turned around to see two men behind her.

“I felt like I was being followed,” Martinez said in the video, which has over 800,000 views. “I turned around and I backed up to let the man pass me and he walked right up to me and he put his whole body and his arms around my neck and I started screaming bloody murder.”

Martinez said the two men fled after she screamed, and bystanders came to help. She said the police arrived 20 minutes later, searched the area for about 10 minutes, and walked her home.

“I do not feel safe, I don’t think girls should feel safe tonight,” Martinez said in the video, one of a series she posted about the alleged attack.

The Boston Police Department issued a community alert Saturday to seek public assistance in identifying the men involved in the attack. The statement described the first individual to be a white male in his late 20s with a skinny build and wearing all black. The second individual is also described as a white male in his late 20s with a grey beanie.

No further details were available upon request, but anyone with information can contact Boston Police via their tip line at 1-800-494-8477 (TIPS), or by texting “TIP” to “CRIME” (27463).
