Police arrested a woman who drove onto MBTA Green Line tracks at a “high rate of speed” on Friday, officials said.

At 2:30 a.m., the 27-year-old woman was allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol in the Coolidge Corner area near Trader Joe’s in Brookline, according to a statement from MBTA Transit Police.

The woman then proceeded to speed down the MBTA tracks, police said.

Authorities soon took her into custody and towed her vehicle from the scene. No injuries were reported.
