Luckenson King Pablo allegedly shot and killed his wife in a crosswalk in Chelsea on Friday morning, police said.

Authorities arrested a Chelsea man for allegedly fatally shooting his wife in public on Friday, Chelsea police said in a statement.

Luckenson King Pablo, 31, allegedly shot his estranged wife to death outside of the TownePlace Suites at 30 Eastern Ave. in Chelsea, police said. The shooting happened around 8:42 a.m at the intersection of Central Avenue at Marginal Street, according to Chelsea police.

First responders took the victim, 32-year-old Melissa Janvier Pablo, to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she later died of her injuries, Chelsea police said.
