Fall River police are investigating an incident that left one person dead and another injured on Wednesday, the Bristol County District Attorney said in a statement.
A 911 call around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday alerted police to two injured people at 490 Dickinson Street, the statement said. Police said they found a 55-year-old man with “multiple stab wounds” and a woman with a single gunshot wound.
First responders took both victims to local hospitals for medical treatment, the statement said.
The woman, identified in the statement as 42-year-old Remy Aull, was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital.
The DA said Massachusetts State Police, Fall River Homicide Unit, and prosecutors are investigating the incident.
