Boston police seek suspect in latest coffee assault

The incident is being investigated as an alleged assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police are asking for the public’s help finding an individual in connection with an alleged assault involving hot coffee that occurred in Roxbury last month.

The incident happened at 8:50 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the area of 2493 Washington St., according to a statement from the Boston Police Department

This assault and battery with a dangerous weapon investigation comes after a number of alleged assaults involving everyday objects — including coffee — in Boston.

Police describe the suspect as a “black male, with a beard, wearing a black sweatshirt, tan pants, and carrying a black bag.”
