33-year-old man killed in Lawrence shooting, police say
An unidentified suspect shot and killed Stephen Hernandez, 33, on Sunday morning, authorities said.
Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Lawrence Sunday morning.
Lawrence resident Stephen Hernandez, 33, was shot and died of his injuries, the Essex County District Attorney said in a statement.
Police responded to reports of shots fired around 7 a.m. on Sunday, the DA said. Law enforcement said they arrived at the 300 block of Walter Street in Lawrence, where officers found Hernandez suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders treated Hernandez on the scene and took him to Lawrence General Hospital, where he died of his injuries, the DA said.
The shooting remains under investigation, the statement said.
