MBTA police seek apparent Yankee fan who allegedly threw woman from bus

Police have released new photos of the "person of interest" in the Aug. 20 incident.

The MBTA Transit Police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a man wearing a Yankees cap who allegedly threw a female victim from a bus last Tuesday, police say.

The woman landed on her face on the sidewalk and suffered injuries in the incident, which occurred around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, authorities said in a statement. MBTA Transit Police released new photos of the “person of interest” on Tuesday.

Police ask that anyone with further information about the assault and battery investigation contact 617-222-1050.
