Police investigating after man shot and killed in Dorchester

Police did not release the name or age of the man shot and killed on Saturday night.

A man was shot and killed in Dorchester Saturday night, Boston police said.

Officers responded to 519 Washington Street around 10 p.m., where a man was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he died, Boston police announced. 

The shooting came just a day after another man was fatally stabbed in Dorchester on Friday night. A 38-year-old man from the neighborhood was arrested and charged with murder Saturday.

Officials did not identify the man killed in the shooting on Saturday.
