An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in New Bedford on Saturday, authorities said.

Authorities found 23-year-old Omil Padilla-Corsino with stab wounds near 68 South Street on Saturday afternoon, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement released Sunday. Padilla-Corsino was brought to a nearby hospital, where he died of his wounds.

According to the DA, Juan Padilla-Santana, 42, is currently in custody and faces murder charges. Padilla-Santana is related to the victim, the statement said. The DA’s office said an argument between family members led to the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing.
