Shooting leaves one dead in Somerville, officials say

Paul Nolan was found at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

An investigation into a shooting that left one dead in Somerville on Monday night remains ongoing, authorities say.

Somerville police responded to Dartmouth Street at about 10:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting, according to a statement from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. 

The victim, Paul Nolan, 49, of Somerville, was found on the scene suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. He was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the statement said.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Somerville police, and State Police detectives assigned to the DA’s Office are investigating.
