Surveillance footage caught videos of the fight. Video shows Briones-Blandon reaching into his backpack, drawing a knife, and stabbing Cartegena in the back, Hayden’s office said. Chelsea police questioned and arrested Briones-Blandon after he returned to the scene to recover a red motorcycle, according to the DA.

“This was an exceptionally violent incident that was captured on video, giving investigators valuable information to help determine what happened and who was involved. I offer my deepest sympathies to Mr. Cartegena and his family and friends,” Hayden said.
