A Brockton man is wanted for murder in connection with a shooting at a Northborough party that killed a high school student in May.
The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office named Erik Coelho Dos Santos as the one responsible for the death of 16-year-old Ygor Correia.
Authorities issued the arrest warrant for 20-year-old Santos on Monday. The warrant says his last known address is in Brockton. Authorities encourage anyone with information to call their anonymous line at 508-453-7589.
Santos is 5’4 and weighs about 130 pounds, according to a wanted poster released by authorities. Photos on the poster show him with curly brown hair and brown eyes.
The shooting happened at a house party in Northborough on May 12. Correira died and one other person was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. Three people were arrested at the scene on weapons charges. All three were arraigned in court the day after the shooting.
Correria was a student at Milford High School, according to his obituary. He loved cars, music, and soccer. His family started a GoFundMe to raise money to transport his body to his home nation of Brazil. As of July 16, the fundraiser had raised over $15,000 and is no longer accepting donations.
