Investigators obtained a search warrant for the apartment Friday night. The investigation is currently “very active,” according to the D.A.’s office.

The death is being investigated by the Middlesex D.A.’s office, Lowell police, and State Police.

Though the victim has not been identified by officials, The Lowell Sun reported that loved ones identified her as Ahliana Dickey. She was a student at Lowell Public Schools and set to graduate from eighth grade the day she was found dead, her father told the Sun

Dickey’s family gathered Saturday afternoon in her memory, remembering her as “full of life” and “a beautiful soul,” according to reporting by the Sun
