Boston Police find car stolen in weekend armed carjacking, but suspect still at large

The suspect approached the victim near Harambee Park while the car was stopped at a red light, police said.

An armed carjacker commandeered a vehicle at a red light near Harambee Park in Dorchester on Saturday morning, according to Boston Police.

Officers responded to reports of a carjacking victim in Dorchester on Saturday around 7:41 a.m., according to police reports.

The suspect approached the victim at the intersection of Norwell Street and Talbott Avenue while the car was stopped at a red light, police said. The suspect walked to the driver’s side window, displayed a firearm, and began to threaten the victim, according to the report.

The suspect took the car and fled onto Talbott Avenue towards Blue Hill Avenue, police said. BPD later reported finding the stolen car at 35 Glenway St.

There are no suspects at this time, but the investigation remains ongoing. The victim is uninjured, according to police.
