A Malden man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly assaulting a woman in a wheelchair on board a MBTA bus, police said.

Transit police said officers arrested the 59-year-old around 8 p.m. at Lechmere for indecent assault.

“We applaud the victim for speaking out & reporting this incident to TPD,” police said.

Police did not release the name of the man or the alleged victim.
