Police investigating apparent early morning murder-suicide in Brockton

Police are investigating what they believe to be a murder-suicide that occurred Tuesday morning in Brockton, officials said. 

Sheron Trowers, 56, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital. Carlos Brown, 61, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a statement

Brockton police received two 911 calls early Tuesday morning. One came from inside the house for a report of an unresponsive male, and a second call was made from a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots, Cruz said.

Trowers was found in the driveway of 524 Ash St., he said. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Officers found Brown in the living room inside the home, according to Cruz’s statement. 

Massachusetts State Police detectives responded to the incident at around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, the DA said. 

The investigation is ongoing by State Police and Brockton police.
