Two arrested in connection with shooting death of Fall River teen

Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, 19, and Giovanni Nunes, 18, both of Fall River, are charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

Two men have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a high school student in Fall River last week, police announced. 

Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, 19, and Giovanni Nunes, 18, both of Fall River, are charged with accessory to murder after the fact in connection to the daytime shooting of 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Sunday. 

Mills-Good was found by police in the area of Rock Street and Franklin Street at about 11:40 a.m. Thursday suffering from gunshot wounds, according to officials. 

Mills-Good, who according to local reports was a student at Resiliency Preparatory Academy, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said the investigation into the murder is “extremely active.”

Figueroa-Valcarel and Nunes are scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning in Fall River District Court, officials said.
