A Plymouth man was arrested for allegedly shooting at homes during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police say the man, identified as 25-year-old Joshua Fitzgerald, shot at the residences after an earlier fight outside a bar with one of the home’s occupants.
The shooting occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on North Spooner Street, where the suspect allegedly shot at two homes. Nobody was injured.
Officers found Fitzgerald on his front porch soon after. He retreated into his home and then attempted to escape through his backyard, according to police. Officers held him at gunpoint, he dropped a pistol, and he eventually followed officers’ commands and was taken into custody, police said.
Fitzgerald was charged with four counts of assault to murder while armed with a firearm, seven counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm and ammunition without proper licenses, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, threats to commit murder, destruction of property over $1,200, possession of a class B drug (cocaine), and disturbing the peace.
Although bail was originally set at $10,000, Fitzgerald is currently being held without bail until the dangerousness hearing on Friday.
