Dracut police are investigating after a woman suffering “serious” injuries was found on a road Monday.
Police responded to the area of 23 Pleasant Street at approximately 10:24 p.m. for reports of a woman “down in the roadway,” according to a statement released Thursday.
Officers discovered a 33-year-old woman suffering “injuries that appeared to be serious,” according to the statement. She was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a Boston-area trauma center.
Investigators have not yet determined what happened to the woman. The Dracut Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the department at 978-957-2123.
