A 33-year-old man was arrested for an unprovoked attack on a 69-year-old woman, according to MBTA Transit Police.
The alleged assault occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the State Street Orange Line stop. The suspect reportedly attacked the victim by forcefully removing her mask and knocking her onto the platform, according to police.
The victim was treated on scene by emergency services, and the suspect was taken to Transit Police headquarters for booking.
