A father and son were arrested on several drug and firearm charges Friday following a monthslong investigation, Blackstone Police Chief Gregory Gilmore said in a statement.
Micheal Pitler, 45, of Blackstone, and Zachary Pitler, 21, of Blackstone, were arrested after the execution of a search warrant in Blackstone, according to Gilmore.
Micheal Pitler was charged with possession of a Class B substance, while his son faces several drug and firearm charges. These include possession of Class B, C, D, and E substances, as well as trafficking cocaine and possession of firearms without a license, according to the statement.
Officials said both men were arrested without incident on site and transported to the Blackstone Police Department for booking.
“Through these arrests, we have removed a significant amount of narcotics from our community. Our department takes our commitment to narcotics enforcement seriously and will not stop pursuing dealers who make Blackstone their base of operations,” Gilmore said.
Micheal Pitler was arraigned Friday in Uxbridge District Court. Zachary Pitler is expected to be arraigned there Feb. 20.
Blackstone officers made the arrest alongside law enforcement agencies from Milford, Northbridge, Millbury, Sutton, and the Worcester DEA.
