Leicester police seek driver in hit-and-run crash that left 86-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries

Leicester police are requesting the public’s help in locating a vehicle and its driver suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash that left an elderly woman with serious injuries last month.

The crash took place Saturday, Jan. 20, around 12:40 a.m. on Stafford Street near Carleton Road, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene in the northbound direction on Huntoon Memorial Highway (Route 56), Leicester police noted in a release.

Emergency responders transported the victim, an 86-year-old pedestrian, to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
