Leicester police are requesting the public’s help in locating a vehicle and its driver suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash that left an elderly woman with serious injuries last month.
The crash took place Saturday, Jan. 20, around 12:40 a.m. on Stafford Street near Carleton Road, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene in the northbound direction on Huntoon Memorial Highway (Route 56), Leicester police noted in a release.
Emergency responders transported the victim, an 86-year-old pedestrian, to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Authorities believe the suspect vehicle may be a silver Audi Q5 or SQ5. There may be passenger-side bumper damage to the vehicle from the crash, they added.
Leicester police ask anyone with information related to this incident to contact detectives or Sgt. Matthew Brady at 508-892-7010 ext. 2017 or [email protected].
