The driver of a car that crashed into an MBTA bus early Monday morning will likely be facing criminal charges, police said.
According to a post on the MBTA Transit Police X account, a 26-year-old man with a suspended license and no insurance was “traveling at a high rate [of] speed” when he lost control of his car and crashed into parked cars before hitting an MBTA bus head on.
The crash happened at approximately 1 a.m. Monday around Ferry Road and Bolster Road in Everett, police said. The driver of the 2016 Volkswagen was brought to the hospital for a minor injury.

Photos included in the X post showed the car damaged with a wheel completely torn off.
The driver of the vehicle was not identified.
