Police investigate ‘suspicious’ death after 18-year-old woman’s body is found behind Everett home

Authorities are investigating a death they say is suspicious after an 18-year-old woman’s body was found behind a home in Everett Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m., a Springvale Avenue resident called 911 after discovering the woman’s body behind her home, the Middlesex District Attorney’s office said in a news release. Police found the 18-year-old victim’s body outside the home and declared her dead at the scene.

The woman hadn’t suffered any obvious injuries, the DA’s office said, but because of where the body was found, her death is considered suspicious. The Chief Medical Examiner’s office will determine the woman’s manner and cause of death.

State and local police are investigating the woman’s death. Authorities are not releasing her identity at this time.
