NH motorcycle shop asks for help finding masked thieves

The New Year’s Day heist netted more than $50,000 worth of dirt bikes.

A New Hampshire motorcycle shop is asking the public’s help in tracking down at least five masked thieves that made off with more than $50,000 worth of the store’s dirt bikes and helmets.

The heist happened in Windham, New Hampshire on New Year’s Day, NBC Boston reported. The masked intruders made their way into Naults Powersports just before 4:30 a.m., setting off a security alarm. An officer arrived shortly after and found a broken front window, the report said.

Surveillance video shows five assailants, all wearing masks and hoods, approaching the building with two large rocks before smashing the window. Three suspects then enter the store, while the other two head to another entrance.

Minutes later, the suspects are seen fleeing with dirt bikes.

Another camera caught the heist from inside the property. Interior video shows the suspects entering the store, one of them carrying bolt cutters. The suspects then cut cables that were securing several dirt bikes. The thieves then wheel the dirt bikes from the showroom.

The motorcycle shop posted the videos on Facebook, along with various images of the suspects, in a plea for the public’s help.

“Does anyone know who these thieves are?! We need the public’s help in identifying these people. They cannot keep getting away with these (crimes)!” the shop wrote on the post, along with an offer of $10,000 in reward money for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thieves.

Police said six suspects were involved in total — all believed to be males in their late teens to 20s, according to the report.

The shop said the missing bikes included a 2021 KX 85, a 2022 KX 250 and two 2022 CRF 450 RS, as well as four helmets.
