On Dec. 17 another woman — Angjeliki Hodaj, 23, of Saugus — was charged and pleaded not guilty in the murder. Hodaj remains held without bail, according to the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
A murder warrant was also issued for Jorge Delgardo Medina, of Melrose, though an arraignment on the murder charge has yet to be scheduled. Police said Media was arraigned on Dec. 14 for unlicensed operation, negligent operation, and failure to stop following a police pursuit in Saugus. He is currently being held on $10,000 cash bail and a federal detainer.
According to 7News, prosecutors said Rosario aided the murder suspects by renting a hotel room, though her defense attorney argued that she got the room for privacy with her boyfriend.
The Essex District Attorney’s Office, Saugus Police and the Essex State Police Detective Unit are actively investigating the murder.
