A 22-year-old Boston man was fatally shot Saturday night on Salem Street outside a convenience store, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Malden Chief of Police Kevin Molis.
According to police, the victim was in front of the 7-11 at 9:40 p.m., when he had a brief interaction with multiple individuals.
One of those individuals opened fire, striking the man, according to the statement.
Police said the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There have not yet been any arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call Malden Police at 781-322-1212.
