Four men were arrested in Roxbury on Saturday for allegedly kidnapping a man and robbing him at gunpoint, according to Boston police.
Police said officers were performing a traffic stop at Centre Street and Columbus Avenue when a man “sweating profusely and was bleeding from his lip” approached them just before 6 p.m. and said he had been robbed at gunpoint. He told the officers that three men forced him into a Jeep SUV while he was walking in the area of Vale Street. The men, who were armed with guns, took the man’s two phones and then kept him in the car while they drove around the area.
The victim also told police that one of the men struck him with a gun on the back of his head during the incident, according to the department. The men later forced him out of the car while it was moving, around the area of Vale Street and Thornton Street.
Officers responding to the area later found four men standing around the vehicle in a parking lot behind the James P. Timilty Middle School, near Jeep Jones Park. When searching the men, police said they found a loaded handgun in the waistband of Sekou Sesay, 22, of Dorchester. Police also found two other handguns and a large quantity of marijuana. More evidence was also found in a second vehicle determined to be owned by Sesay, according to the department.
Sesay and the three other men — Mohamed Kaba, 21, of Roxbury, Ahmed Kaba, 24, of Brockton, and Abdigani Abdullahi, 22, of Roxbury — were arrested at the scene.
The four men are facing a range of charges including Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm on School Grounds, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs, and Trespassing, according to the police.
They will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
