Boston police are investigating the death of a man who was stabbed in Mattapan Thursday night, according to a statement.
Police said they found a man stabbed near Harvard Street around 11:19 p.m. Thursday.
The man, who police have not identified, was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries, according to the statement.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident, and is asking anyone with information to contact homicide detectives at 617-343-4470.
According to a story in the Boston Globe, police have not yet ruled the man’s death a homicide.
Community members wishing to assist this investigation anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
The Boston Police Department will protect the identities of anyone who wishes to remain anonymous, according to the statement.
