A man was arrested on Sunday in connection with an Aug. 12 attempted kidnapping near Tufts Medical Center.
Police arrested Dante Wentz, 23, in the area of 300 Harrison Ave. Police have been searching for Wentz since the incident on Thursday, and an investigation led to an ID and arrest warrant.
Police released a blurry security camera image on Thursday, asking for the public’s help in finding the attacker. Around 5:20 a.m. that morning, an adult female was approached from behind by an unknown male near 830 Washington St. in Boston, police said.
The male put his hands on her face and attempted to drag her towards a nearby alleyway. The victim screamed for help, and was able to break free. The assailant fled the area on foot.
Police said Wentz is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on the charges of kidnapping and assault and battery.
