Federal agents and local law enforcement arrested a man wanted for a quadruple shooting in Dorchester, which occurred July 10. The suspect, 37-year-old Khary Jones, was taken into custody at his Braintree residence on Thursday morning, according to an investigation update from Boston police.
Jones is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (four counts), and being an armed career criminal (Level 1), police said.
The shooting occurred the evening of July 10 near 34 Cameron St. When police responded to the scene, they found four people shot, according to The Boston Globe. The victims were brought to local hospitals and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
Jones will appear in Dorchester District Court, but the date for his arraignment was yet to be determined.
