“Initial reports indicate multiple suspects forced their way into the first-floor apartment and confronted the victim,” police said in the statement. “A female resident and two children were also present at that time. No one else was injured.”
The suspect or suspects involved in the shooting fled the scene on foot “in an unknown direction,” police said. Authorities do not believe the incident is random.
