Attleboro police release footage of carjacking with woman trapped in backseat
The suspect is thought to be in his 20s, and police are still searching for him.
Attleboro police have released surveillance footage of a suspect they say was involved in a carjacking where an older woman was trapped in the backseat.The footage from the incident, which occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, shows a man quickly jumping into the driver’s seat of a vehicle, back up, and then speed away.

The incident took place at a Shell gas station along I-95. The woman, who is reportedly in her 70s, was in the Mazda SUV as her family members went inside, according to WHDH. The suspect allegedly pulled over nearby and pulled the woman out of the car. He then allegedly drove away.
The woman was brought to a nearby hospital and treated. The car, meanwhile, was found in Providence, the news station reported.
At the time, WJAR reported that the suspect is thought to be a man in his mid-20s, thin, and between 5-foot-8-inches and 6 feet tall.
