Boston police officer arrested on drug-related charges stemming from N.H. incident

A Boston police officer was arrested on Friday after an incident in January during which he allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine and amphetamine in New Hampshire, according to authorities.Andrew L. Johnson, 51, of Chestnut Hill, was arrested by state police assigned to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.Authorities say the incident happened on Jan. 23 in Woodstock, New Hampshire.Johnson was released following his arrest so he could turn himself into New Hampshire authorities.A Boston police spokesman said a statement regarding Johnson’s arrest would be forthcoming.
