Randolph man arrested after 2 men stabbed at Bell in Hand Tavern in Downtown Boston

Alex Brito is soon scheduled to appear in Boston Municipal Court.

Two men were stabbed Saturday night inside the Bell in Hand Tavern near Faneuil Hall, and staff security members had to restrain the suspect, authorities said in a news releaseBoston police said they arrested the man, later identified as 36-year-old Alex Brito, of Randolph, onsite around 10:10 p.m. Saturday at the bar on 45 Union St. in BostonAs they arrived on scene, officers said they were told two men had been stabbed and that staff security were attempting to restrain Brito on the main floor near the bar. The officers quickly made entry and observed the suspect violently struggling while two victims lay on the ground being tended to by other staff members,” police wrote in the release. “Officers were able to gain control of the suspect, placing him in custody and recovering a knife on scene.”Boston EMS transported both victims to a nearby hospital to treat what officials deemed as non-life-threatening injuries. Brito has been charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, simple assault and battery, and resisting arrest and threats.Officers said he is soon scheduled to appear in Boston Municipal Court.
