A Quincy woman, 20, allegedly stole a Boston Fire Department pickup truck and led police through R.I.

The vehicle was apparently taken from the department's training academy earlier in the day.

A Quincy woman allegedly stole a Boston Fire Department pickup truck on Thursday, and later led law enforcement in a low-speed chase in Rhode Island.

WHDH reports Alina Dunham, 20, faces charges of assaulting a police officer, reckless driving, and stealing a car, according to Coventry police.

Authorities received calls just after 6:30 p.m. about a vehicle heading down Route 3 that was operating on one of its rims, the news station reports.

Police tried to stop the truck, but Dunham allegedly drove into West Warwick and then onto other communities and a highway, before stopping at a dead-end in East Greenwich, officials said.
