A Marshfield woman was charged for allegedly fatally stabbing her husband on Thursday, according to authorities.

Christine Ricci, 46, faces one count of murder — the outcome of a law enforcement investigation after first responders were called to a home at 679 Moraine St., the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Marshfield police received a 911 call reporting a medical emergency at the residence around 4:46 p.m., officials said.

There, officers and emergency medical personnel found a man — later identified as 51-year-old Michael Ricci — suffering from stab wounds, authorities said. He was brought to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to prosecutors.
