15-year-old girl shot, injured in Boston late Thursday
The incident happened around 11:25 p.m.
A 15-year-old girl is hospitalized but expected to survive after she was shot in Roxbury late Thursday night.State and Boston police were called to the area near the intersection of Albert and Prentiss streets in the city’s Southwest Corridor around 11:25 p.m. There, they found the teen with injuries thought to be nonlife-threatening. She was taken to Boston Medical Center, state police said in a press release.The teen, from Dorchester, remained in the hospital as of Friday morning, police said. Authorities believe there was an “altercation between two groups,” and the victim was shot during that time.The area where the incident occurred is under state police jurisdiction. Authorities said they were still investigating. No one has been arrested, and no suspects have been publicly named.
