Boston police are turning to the public for help identifying a man who allegedly struck a woman as she stood outside the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on Monday.

“This was an unprovoked attack,” police said in a news release Saturday.

Officers said they initially responded to a report of a verbal dispute around 10:06 a.m. Monday near 450 Brookline Avenue in Boston, but when they arrived, they discovered a woman had been assaulted around the corner on Jimmy Fund Way.

The suspect, who officers described as a Black man wearing an all black jumpsuit, allegedly ran up to the victim and struck the right side of her head with his fist.
