Suspect arrested in shooting death of man found on the side of a Dartmouth road
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jose Cortez Cornejo of New Bedford.

An arrest has been made in the murder of a 27-year-old New Bedford man found on the side of a road in Dartmouth last week.
Franklin Antonio Amaya Paredes, 23, also of New Bedford, was arrested on a warrant for murder in New Bedford Friday night for the shooting death of Jose Cortez Cornejo.
Amaya Paredes was planned to be arraigned in New Bedford District Court on Monday.
Cortez Cornejo was found around 5:10 a.m. last Tuesday by a motorist along the roadway near 180 Horseneck Road; he was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy found that Cortez Cornejo had been shot to death.
